Megabyte (MB)

A Megabyte (MB) is a decimal unit of digital information that is equal to 1,000,000 bytes (or 8,000,000 bits) and commonly used to express the size of a file or the amount of memory used by a program. It is also used to express data transfer speeds and in the context of data storage and memory, the binary-based unit of mebibyte (MiB) is used instead.
